Prior to forming GRAnderson Wealth Management Group, Mr. Anderson completed a successful two decade career in the financial services industry with several major Fortune 100 Corporations.

Mr. Anderson received his Master degree in Financial Services from The American College (1995), and his Bachelor degree in Business Administration from The Colorado College (1982).

Mr. Anderson’s community activities include board membership with the FINRA District Committee, The Gathering Place, The Owl Club of Denver and the Greater Park Hill Sertoma Club. He also is an alumnus of Leadership Denver.

He is married to a Certified Residential Appraiser. His son attends Prairie View A & M University . He also enjoys cycling and the outdoors.

April serves as the Director of the Wellness Living & Learning Community at the University of Denver. She is deeply passionate about the importance of wellness on a very human level, and she has served various nonprofit organizations, domestically and internationally, for more than 15 years. Her most prominent ventures have included volunteer leadership roles within Amnesty International, as a volunteer for Save the Children, as a bilingual paraprofessional in a Denver Public (elementary) School, and as an educator at the University of Denver. She has also been involved with many other organizations through service learning and civic engagement connections through the University of Denver. April believes that pursuing balance in one's life is essential to remaining a life-long activist within the helping professions. April earned her graduate degree in International Studies from DU with a focus on economics and human rights; her undergraduate degrees are in Spanish and International Studies, with a minor in Leadership.

 

Brian Bernard

Brian has been involved in the nonprofit world since his graduation from the University of New Hampshire in 1994 and moved to Colorado in 1999. Brian has worked at Excelsior Youth Center, a residential treatment center for troubled teen girls, for eight years and currently works in the Development Department. Brian is also pursuing a degree in the Masters of Nonprofit Management program at Regis University.

 

 

Maureen Leif, J.D.

Maureen graduated from Purdue University in 1996 with a B.A. in Psychology and then went on obtain a J.D. from Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis in 1999. Currently, she is the Child Support Enforcement Coordinator at the Colorado Judicial Branch, serving as a liaison between the Judicial Branch and the State, County and Federal Offices of Child Support. Maureen serves on numerous state committees dealing with child support and domestic relation and child issues, including being appointed by Governor Bill Owens to the Child Support Commission. She also participated in a National Judicial Task Force workgroup that was charged with the development of a Domain Model for data exchange between Courts and Child Support agencies. Prior to joining the Judicial Branch, Maureen worked as a Deputy District Attorney in the Child Support Division for the 18th Judicial District, during which time she was awarded the “Statewide IV-D Attorney of the Year” award in 2004. She has also worked as a private attorney specializing in family law and was awarded the Arapahoe Bar Association’s Tommy Drinkwine Young Lawyer of the Year award in 2004. Outside of work, Maureen and her husband love to spend time with their twin five year old and one year old daughters biking, hiking and camping in the mountains.

 

Eric Rothaus, J.D. (Advisory)

A Colorado native, Eric Rothaus has spent the better part of two decades involved in Colorado policy and politics. He served on Governor Romer’s administration as an advisor for Health and Human Service issues and as an assistant attorney in the Colorado Attorney General’s office, representing the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment.

Eric’s work in the Governor’s office allowed him to meet with many different service providers, and that is where he first learned about the issue of secondary trauma that many face. More recently, he served as a member of the Attorney General’s in-house domestic violence task force.

 

James Sanchez, M.B.A.

James has worked in the human services field since he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Colorado State University in 1990. In February 2001, James earned his Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. James has worked with a variety of populations including at-risk youth, closed head-injured adults, and disadvantaged adults living in poverty. James has worked for several nonprofit agencies including the Denver Children’s Home and the Colorado AIDS Project. James is currently the Program Manager of Goodwill Industries of Denver’s Arapahoe County Workforce Development programs.

 

  Ariela Shapiro, MSc

A community volunteer, Ariela is deeply passionate and interested in creating greater awareness and acceptance for mandated universal healthcare. In addition to the Health Bridge Alliance, Ariela volunteers at the Rocky Mountain Survivor’s Center. She has worked locally, nationally, and internationally as a researcher, community lobbyist, volunteer, program manager and fundraiser.
Before pursuing her degree in International Relations and Statistics at Boston University, Ariela worked as a volunteer and then program associate at the Seeds of Peace Jerusalem Coexistence Center. During this time, Ariela was privileged to work with Israeli and Palestinian teenagers and communities to establish dialogue work-shops and programs.
While at Boston University, Ariela was invited to be a research associate at the Peace Research Institute of Oslo and a research fellow at the Institute for the Study of Conflict, Ideology and Policy. Upon returning to Denver, Ariela developed programming and fundraising partnerships for a national non-profit in the areas of women, refugee, and low-income populations. Ariela has recently completed her MSc from the London School of Economics in International Political Economy and looks forward to working with marginalized populations in the Colorado area.


Angela Thieman-Dino, Ph.D.

Angela Thieman-Dino is a cultural anthropologist whose work applies an anthropological perspective to contemporary issues of social justice. She has worked locally and internationally for more than 15 years as a community organizer, researcher, human rights educator, and trainer. Her adventures have taken her from small grassroots movements in war-torn communities, to local and national non-profits, to international government and non-government organizations.

In addition to serving on the Board of the HealthBridge Aliance, she is honored to serve on the Board of Directors of the Rocky Mountain Survivors Center which serves survivors of torture and war trauma. Angela holds a Masters Degree in Anthropology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and is currently completing her Ph.D.

 

  Cynthia A. (Cindy) Walters, MSSW

Cindy has over twenty-five years experience with the non-profit agencies ranging from direct service provider to serving as CEO/Executive Director for three organizations. This experience includes working for both independent and national affiliate organizations such as American Red Cross, Camp Fire USA, YWCA and the American Cancer Society. In addition to being an agency executive, she has served as a facilitator/trainer providing staff training and board development. Cindy is an American Humanics graduate from Missouri Valley College. She also has her MSSW – Planning and Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Currently, Cindy serves as the Regional Director for Social Solutions, a company committed to providing consulting and software services to non-profits and governments to assist them in more effectively measuring outcomes and improving their performance.


   
 

Desiree Westlund, MSW

Desiree has worked in social justice and community organizing work in the Denver area for the past 5 years. Although her work has primarily been with immigrants, it has ranged from Union organizing to pre-natal counseling. Desiree's work in both organizing and direct service provision have demonstrated to her the importance of self-care when working with vulernable populations. Desiree holds a Masters of Social Work from DU and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Global Studies from Pacific Lutheran University .
